Recent Prince Edward Island draws

PEI publishes how many labour and Express Entry invitations each monthly draw issued, not a minimum score. It says it is prioritizing health care, trades, manufacturing and other shortage sectors, and that sales and service workers may not receive an invitation at this time.

What the points do not cover

  • PEI selects on attributes, not on score alone: language, education and where it was completed, skill level, priority sectors and job offers in PEI.
  • To claim the foreign qualification points your credential must be recognized by the PEI regulator for your occupation. An Educational Credential Assessment does not count.
  • Language points use the lowest of your four abilities on a test taken within the last two years. Skilled Worker applicants may instead have their employer confirm their language ability on the PEIW-02: Workforce Job Offer Form.
  • On the labour grid, proof of both English and French earns points for each language, up to the 20-point language maximum. The January 2026 guide has no separate bilingual bonus.
  • Intermediate Experience needs a TEER 4 job offer and at least six months of Canadian work on an LMIA-based work permit. Occupations in Demand needs a permanent job offer in one of eight listed occupations, such as nurse aides, transport truck drivers and material handlers.
  • PEI Express Entry candidates need a valid federal Express Entry profile number.

Prince Edward Island PNP questions

Does PEI publish a minimum score?

No. Its monthly draws page lists how many labour and Express Entry invitations were issued, 1,229 from January to September 2026, but no score threshold. PEI says it selects on the attributes that meet its labour needs and is prioritizing health care, trades, manufacturing and other shortage sectors.

Which stream should I pick?

Skilled Worker in PEI if you already work in Canada and have a PEI job offer in TEER 0 to 3. Skilled Worker Outside Canada if a PEI employer is recruiting you from abroad and received authorization from the Office of Immigration before making the offer. Critical Worker for TEER 4 or 5 jobs after six months with the PEI employer, Intermediate Experience for TEER 4 jobs backed by Canadian work on an LMIA-based permit, Occupations in Demand for the eight occupations PEI lists, International Graduate if you graduated from a publicly funded PEI institution, and PEI Express Entry if you hold a federal Express Entry profile. The points differ by stream, which is why the calculator asks first.

Is there still a bilingual bonus?

No. The January 2026 guide dropped the separate 10-point bonus. On the labour grid, proof of both English and French now earns points for each language, up to the 20-point language maximum. The Express Entry grid scores one language test.

Why does the International Graduate stream have no language points?

PEI's grid shifts those points to age, education and employment for graduates: up to 25 for age and 35 for education instead of 15 each. Language is still checked at application, just not scored in the EOI.

What is the foreign qualification recognition factor?

Five points for having your qualifications recognized by the PEI regulator for your occupation. PEI is explicit that an Educational Credential Assessment does not earn these points.

How long do I have after an invitation?

Thirty calendar days to submit a complete application, down from 60 since November 1, 2025. PEI advises preparing the documents before submitting the EOI.
