Reading the draws
What is the CRS cutoff?
The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System score that received an invitation in that round. Everyone eligible for that round who scored above it was invited, and so were those at the cutoff score who submitted their profile before the tie-break time IRCC published. The cutoff changes every round because it depends on who is in the pool that day and how many invitations IRCC issues.
Why are category cutoffs so much lower than Canadian Experience Class cutoffs?
Category rounds only look at candidates who meet the category, for example French language ability, a healthcare occupation or a trade. That is a smaller group, so the score needed is lower. You still need to be in the pool and eligible for the category. A low cutoff does not help if your occupation is not on that category's list.
Why are Provincial Nominee Program cutoffs so high?
A provincial nomination adds 600 points to a CRS score, so everyone in a PNP round already has a nomination. A cutoff of 700 usually means a base score of about 100 plus the nomination.
What does the tie-breaking rule mean?
When several people have exactly the cutoff score, IRCC invites those who submitted their Express Entry profile first. The tie-break date and time shown for a round is the profile submission cutoff for people at that score.
How often is this page updated?
The site rebuilds every morning from IRCC's published rounds data, so a new round normally appears here within a day. If IRCC's data feed is unavailable during a rebuild, the page shows the last copy we saved and says so.
Data: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, rounds of invitations feed, read at the last site build on October 2, 2026. This page reports the numbers and does not predict future rounds.
The Cutoff Is Not the Plan
Which category you can enter, and when, matters more than the number. We map your profile to the rounds that actually apply.
